Stanford

Friday, March 30th, 2007

Dear everyone,
I’ve been accepted to Stanford. As I type this my feet are still dirty and I’m sweaty from running around in my backyard. I wasn’t screaming though. Screaming is for bitches.

I’m Back

Friday, March 23rd, 2007

I haven’t had Internet for a week and a half. My router just stopped turning on one day. Life felt pretty different. I read more books and I watched cool documentaries. Here are some cool things I couldn’t tell you while my Internet was down:

• I was accepted to Tisch School of the Arts at NYU for film. I will be visiting New York in 1 month.
• I bought a long board. This is only moderately cool.
• Persian New Year happened. Happy Persian New Year.

Coming of Age

Sunday, March 11th, 2007

We woke up at 5 am on saturday morning to film this short based on an old Zen story. It was filmed for a “coming of age” project, and the full video adds an element of comedy (see Short Films section). This is just the base of the movie, the actual Zen story. I think it stands well on its own. Justin Yoo and Robert Nichols play the two parts, and I shot, edited, and narrated it. Enjoy.

KYOTV #5

Sunday, March 4th, 2007

The 5th episode of KYOTV is now available under the KYOTV section of the site.

In related news, I was accepted to Berkeley today. I went to an interview at the Wilshire Hotel for the regents scholarship and the first thing the host told me was that I had been accepted.

Here’s a picture of me after my interview, trying to casually tell someone what had just happened:

My mom also snapped this one. It’s a great photo…of the woman behind me.
